CHANGING TIDE REDESIGN

A Clearer Path to Support

Navigating mental health with compassion and care

The Challenge

Changing Tide Wellness and Support Services does incredible work, helping people navigate mental health challenges with compassion and care. But their website? That was a different story.

Over time, it had become a bit of a headache—hard to update, tricky to navigate, and lacking the clarity and warmth that define their services. It needed a refresh, something that felt inviting, intuitive, and easy to manage.

The Approach

Rather than starting from scratch, we built on what was already there—simplifying, refining, and creating a website that actually worked for both the Changing Tide team and the people they support.

We kept their existing logo but developed a cohesive visual identity around it. A refined colour palette, carefully chosen photography, and a more considered tone of voice all came together to create a brand experience that felt calm, clear, and connected.

On the practical side, we untangled the site structure, making it easier for people to find what they need and get in touch. And because a great website shouldn’t create extra work, we set things up so the team could keep it up to date without the usual frustration.

The Execution

1. Website Rebuild on WordPress

The new site was designed and developed using WordPress, giving the team a flexible and user-friendly platform that could grow with them. We implemented a streamlined backend, reducing unnecessary complexity and making content updates a breeze.

2. User Experience (UX) and Accessibility

The previous site was cluttered, making it hard for visitors to find what they needed. We restructured the content and improved navigation, ensuring that key information—such as services, contact details, and appointment booking—was easy to access. The new design prioritises readability and accessibility, making the site welcoming for all users, including those with disabilities.

3. Brand Refinement and Visual Language

While the Changing Tide logo remained, we introduced a cohesive brand system to give their identity more depth and consistency. This included:

  • A refined colour palette that reinforces a sense of calm, trust, and wellbeing.
  • Carefully curated photography that feels genuine and inclusive, reflecting the warmth of their services.
  • A consistent tone of voice, ensuring their message is clear, approachable, and supportive across all pages.

4. SEO and Content Strategy

Rather than letting great content sit unused, we showed the team how to repurpose their existing video content into blog posts, providing fresh, valuable material for their audience while also boosting their search rankings. This simple content strategy helps Changing Tide establish itself as a trusted resource while improving SEO without extra workload.

5. Future-Proofing and Easy Updates

One of the biggest pain points was how difficult the old site was to update. We implemented a custom WordPress backend with an intuitive editor, meaning the team can now:

  • Add blog posts, update content, and manage appointments without technical headaches.
  • Keep the site fresh without relying on a developer for every small tweak.

The Impact

  • A unified, professional brand presence that reflects the heart of what they do.
  • Increased engagement, with more people reaching out for support.
  • A site that’s actually easy to update—no more wrestling with clunky systems.

Less Friction, More Connection

The result? A website that doesn’t just look good—it works. It helps Changing Tide do what they do best: support mental health and wellbeing, without their digital presence getting in the way.

Working with Peter was an absolute delight. He just got our band and who we are as an organisation and everything he created for us both visually and functionally with our website was a true reflection of our values and his talent. We would absolutely recommend Yes! Creative to anyone that wants to work with a professional and friendly graphic designer!
