It sounds like prying into someone else’s business but it is in fact an amazing piece of television that humanises its subjects and manages to make me a bit weepy each week.

On watching the series, you could be forgiven for thinking that the USA has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland. In some places that is actually the case, fortunately there are people hustling to build something rad from the debris.

Let me preface this with I am not a gamer. I find myself thinking about all the other things that I need to do and I put the controller down. Reigns on the other hand is something I can enjoy because you can pick it up and put it down at will. The goal is to keep your kingdom “Strong and Stable” by satisfying the People, the Church, the Military and the Bank in equal measures before they turn on you, kill you or send you in to exile and your reign ends.
